Vote with your dollar

Every time you spend money, you are providing an exchange of value worth the time it took for you to earn that money. You are telling the maker/grower/manufacturer that their products and their business actions and in many cases, their politics and religious beliefs  align with your own belief/views. You are providing them means to be a voice on your behalf. You are supporting their networks and goals. In many cases, that is OK! There are a large number of businesses and people doing business that use their skills/network/money for the greater good.

however…  there are a bunch that are not.

The universe is full of great things, some greater than others. Like so many items, the ones that are made to solve a problem are more highly used. The ones that you make for others or yourself, tend to have more value. You know what it took. the materials inspire a memory. It has more value than the 1 thing you needed…

Are you able to re-purpose something in your closet? What about a trade? The love and effort and history in an object that has……


Fears, Assumptions…

Fears drive many of our assumptions about ….. things.

Be it fears of exotic other people, or lifestyles you don’t comprehend, those foods that seem odd or weird, a regions risks and weather, the social standing of whole groups, even religions and their followers, or small challenges to your daily habits.

If you have fear of something, and you don’t address it, it becomes a monster. This isn’t a “it might” kind of observation. IT WILL. The longer you let that fear simmer, the more intimidating it gets. The hydra grows more heads. The werewolf gains sharper teeth and longer claws. The……


Time, dreams, making joy.

I need your help.

Wondering how may people out there have ideas constantly bouncing around in their noggins? What do you do about it?

I am always at a state of needing more time to make the things I am dreaming of in my head. I need to do “normal” (and sometimes less fun) things like work full time to pay the mortgage, do the dishes/laundry, clean out garden beds, play with the pooches, take out the trash, etc.
We all do.
While these things are VERY important to my life, my health and my ability to live, they are also necessary……
